second and third days in mex

Miles Travelled thus far: 1385

Drove down to Los Barriles over the last couple of days. Way rad drive; liked it a lot. Can't believe how useful my stupid iphone is; it can still pin point me on a map exactly where i am and the compass is pretty useful too without cellular service. Stopped at some sand dunes and decided I will need to come back sometime with the mx and explore extensively. Encountered some intense arroyos cross the highway somewhere before constitucion. I thought the water was gonna come into the cab of my precious little saturn:) but it's a keen little vessel and handled well. Spent the night in a hotel and then made the rest of the journey the next day, pulling into el cardinal before noon.

laying down to my first night of the trip after a full hour of off road driving in the saturn and twice as much time as the claimed ten minute setup time on the tent. Didn't think I was going to be able to go to sleep with the tent flapping in the cat3 winds, but nothing that a movie and two hours would allow the wind to settle down or for me to get used to, not sure which one. That's about all i could complain about, as I'm typing this out to the sounds of the waves crashing and the moon just starting to peek around the corner of my tent. Travelled just under a thousand miles in the last 6 days. Stopped in a few places to visit some friends and sibling :) Here's some picture of the past week.
